Dark Flash
This small book contains eight flash fiction stories from (admittedly) one of my authors. These stories were originally written for R. B. Wood’s Word Count Podcast (which can be found at - http://rbwood.com/dir/) in 2016.
All eight stories in this tiny tome are excellently written, fun stories! I include here a very short note on each story:
The Unicorn: One of the most excellent surprise endings ever written!
Nemesis: Ah! When the gods fall, it is a pitiable sight.
Miriam and the Cat: Remember, it’s only a cat…
Treasure Island: The fate of a pirate can be worse than being keel-hauled!
True Words (Kirke’s Bed & Breakfast): When we pass on, do not we all pass from one life to another?
Chiaroscuro: Light and shade. Beauty is fatal – in any form.
OK Computer: I’m not sure I like the story, but I want to be Amanda!
The Demon: I have always loved cats… and hated men like Ted. Ted, you shouldn’t mess with an old woman’s grandchild!
These stories are a delight to read! If you don’t get this little book, you’ll be missing out on quite an enjoyable evening, sitting up in the night… your Kindle the only light in the dark.
